The widest selection of snowboard plates under one roof. We know plates and will not push you to a particular brand.
Plates are all the rave these days, especially in Alpine and the World Cup Circuit. The winning combination of Apex and Kessler at the Vancouver Olympics highlights the importance of a well designed system. The Apex plate was designed around the Kessler snowboards. Such painstaking design, analysis and testing eliminates any instability in the frequency domain.
Plates can be built and designed as a stand alone, however, without properly matching the plate to a particular snowboard, the rider is gambling that no significant and adverse instabilities will occur. Furthermore, the rider is gambling that such off-the-shelf plate will not cause overload of the board that can lead to failure or major instability that can result in injury as course feedback is attenuated.
We keep getting feedbacks on plate performance. However, data indicate that that there is no major significant difference from one type to the other. The World Cup results from the 2010/2011 season clearly support the above statement.
